Your Gut Called. It Wants In On Your Glow-Up.
Okay friend, we need to talk.
You've got the serums lined up. The sheet masks in the fridge. You probably know your skincare routine better than your own schedule at this point. And your skin is still giving tired, puffy, "did I sleep at all" energy.
Girl. It's not your serum. It's your gut.
I say this with so much love, as your esthetician bestie: 90% of what makes your skin glow doesn't happen in the treatment room. It happens way before you ever sit in my chair. If you're waking up bloated, breaking out in the same three spots every single month, and reaching for concealer before your coffee even kicks in that's not a "buy a new product" problem.
That's your gut waving a little white flag.
Real talk on the gut-skin connection
Your gut and your skin are basically in a group chat 24/7. When digestion is sluggish, inflammation creeps up and inflammation is the actual villain behind dullness, breakouts, and that puffy-but-exhausted look. I can give you the best facial of your life, but if your gut's inflamed, your skin's gonna keep showing up to the fight already tired.
What I'm actually loving right now
Gut-support rituals built on real, gentle ingredients not gimmicks. Think:
• Ginger root, for digestion and calming inflammation (calmer gut = calmer skin, promise)
• Dandelion root, supporting your liver, which does way more for your face than people realize
• Peppermint, for easing that bloated, heavy feeling
• Aloe vera, soothing your gut lining so your body can actually absorb the good stuff you're eating
• Fennel seed, keeping things moving and comfortable
How to actually do this right
Because you know I'm not about extremes:
1. Pick something with real ingredients and if it's promising you a number on the scale by a certain day, put it down. Your body's not a math problem.
2. Hydrate like it's your job, alongside whatever ritual you pick.
3. Listen to your body. This should feel like relief, not punishment.
4. Consistency over intensity. Gut health is a slow glow, not a five-day sprint.
Bottom line, babe
You can have the most expensive skincare routine in Tampa Bay, but if your gut's inflamed, your skin's always playing catch up. Supporting your digestion isn't diet culture it's self-care, full stop. It's literally why I built this whole spa around the gut-skin connection instead of just handing you another serum and calling it a day.
So this week: drink your water, be gentle with your gut, and let your skin finally catch a break.
